First off, let me give you the official line on parking for Giant Liverpool.
What you want to do is get onto the dock road (The Strand if you’re approaching us from the north, Wapping if from the south) and turn at the Police station onto Liver Street.
Second right will put you onto Park Lane, and the second exit at the roundabout, onto Jamaica Street.
Now the length of Jamaica Street has free parking for 2 hours, as do all the streets left and right until you get to us on Parliament Street.
Now we’ve been proud residents of Liverpool’s magnificent Baltic Tringle for almost 9 years now, and have witnessed the transformation of Liverpool’s Cultural Quarter first-hand.
Unfortunately, as the empty warehouses have had new life breathed into them in the shape of creative workspaces, fabulous restaurants, bars, clubs and residential areas, parking spaces in the area (free for 2 hours!) have become scarcer, to the point of being mostly non-existent.
Riding in, we don’t notice. But on the rare occasion where we take the car, we’ve been tempted to give up out of frustration and just turn around. As I’m sure you have too! Especially when you call the store desperate to find out when on earth you can park, and some idiot gives you the above directions.
So here’s a better idea. If you get to Parliament street and haven’t had any luck finding a space, cross over to Grafton Street.
Turn left onto Stanhope Street and swing a right into Cain’s Village car park - see below:
Take a quick photo of your parking ticket before leaving it on your dashboard and we’ll knock the £2.00 ticket price (parking is £2.00 for an hour) off the cost of your bike, or any purchase over £200.
The one criticism that came up again and again in our recent survey was how difficult parking is. We’re hoping this will go some way to making your visit to Giant Liverpool even more pleasurable!
And certainly less stressful!
